Spring 2010 issue is out and about!
Ralph Salisbury's literary tastes are about as refined as they get. What a pleasure it was to work on the spring issue with
him. The cover by Anita Endrezze is bringing in the comments as well. You'll want to get your copy before the spring issue runs
out.

Fall 2009 Issue Now Available
The latest issue of Yellow Medicine Review is a generous 352 pages in length and includes the work of more than
50 contributing writers and scholars. Guest edited by Andrei Guruianu, this issue spotlights Eastern European writers and
serves as a 20-year retrospective on the fall of communism. It also manages to do what YMR has always done well in
that it serves once again as a platform for indigenous voices around the world to join the network of ongoing conversations
about--as Guruianu correctly identified in his editorial note--"borders and divisions, economic and political struggles,
fractured identities and an uncertain future."
To order your individual copy of the journal, visit the website's
current issue.

You don't want to miss out on being a part of this exciting edition. See the submissions link to find out what Guruianu is
looking for, then send us your best. One last thing: I've seen a sneak peak of the cover and it'll be a true collector's edition.

Keep it coming
Spring 2009 issue edited by Jimmy Santiago Baca evolved as one of our most successful issues to date. We're still basking
in the glow of its pages. Now, though, we're getting excited about the Fall 2009 issue that Andrei Guruianu is seeking submissions
for. Click here to view the call for submissions or to learn more about Guruianu.

Spring 2009 Issue
The Spring 2009 issue of YMR guest edited by Jimmy Santiago Baca has gone to print. It's an impressive collection and
the cover--the fine work of Raechel Running--definitely does it justice. Thank you, Jimmy, Raechel, and the more than 50 contributors
in the issue. Readers might want to order one of these ahead of time. I can't imagine they'll sit around
in boxes long. See the current issue page for a preview of the cover and list of contributors.

New Issue Coming Soon!
Fall 2008 issue of Yellow Medicine Review will be making its presence felt very soon. Indeed, it has gone to print!
Building an international network of indigenous voices is exciting and rewarding work. It takes more than funding, however,
to make it work. Feedback and input are extraordinarily valuable to us in our process. Much time and energy is invested in
the production of this journal and we want to maximize its potential. Suggestions for improvement and future direction are
always welcome. If we're doing good, please let us know. If we can improve, please let us know. Want to see work of a
particular writer or scholar in the pages of YMR? Drop a name our way; we'll see if we can connect. And yes,
the website is bright.
